Welcome to day 10 of Blogmas! This past weekend, I ran a 5K + did lots of shopping + I now use gloves to wash dishes!

Saturday morning, I ran a 5K with my friend Jessie. If you missed my race recap, click HERE.
It was sunny and 20 degrees, so it was perfect and a hot chocolate at the finish line was perfect!

Elena and I took a nap after I got home and showered. I love snuggling with my mini me. She used to look a lot like my husband when she was a baby, but she’s starting to look more like mama now 🙂
The play room mess was driving me nuts. This happened Friday night in like 2-3 hours (between the time Esteban and Elena got home until I got home from work). I picked it up Saturday morning after my nap.
Surprisingly, it took me 15 minutes to pick up and vacuum. All the toys have bins and spots where they are supposed to go, so it makes it easy to pick up and put away.

My husband, Elena and I went to La Michoacana after dinner. I used to crave Mexican corn (elote) almost everyday during my pregnancy. I don’t eat it too much anymore because I’ve cut down a lot on dairy.
Elena got a bubble gum flavored ice cream. I thought it was super sugary and disgusting at first, but once it was a bit melted it actually didn’t taste bad.

Saturday evening we, all 3, went to Joann’s and Target. We bought Elena a new jacket because it’s been getting colder!
On Sunday, I did laundry and housework. After, Elena and I went to DSW, Wal-Mart, and Jewel-Osco.
I had gotten Elena brown Bearpaw boots at the beginning of snow season, but on Sunday I took her to DSW to get a black pair. Elena refused to get the black Bearpaw boots that I wanted to get her. She wanted these Juicy sparkly boots instead. So, I let her choose the pair that she wanted and she walked out of the store wearing her new sparkly boots!

I bought a gift (slippers with eye mask) for someone and I also got a free blanket at checkout. I LOVE shopping at DSW. I love being able to use up to 3 coupons at once. I used a $5 coupon, $10 coupon, and a free blanket coupon during this trip.
If you’re not shopping at DSW for all of your shoe needs, you’re missing out on great shoes and amazing deals!

This is what happens when Elena doesn’t nap at home before we go out.

I’ve been looking at vacuums everywhere I go lately. I’m in the market for a new vacuum. I’m looking to invest in one that is wireless, lightweight, and great quality. I might get it after the holidays if I find a good deal. The one we have now only turns on when it wants to haha.

For dinner, I ordered Sarpino’s . During my maternity leave, my husband would get Sarpino’s every Friday on his way home from work. I can’t remember the last time we had it.
I ate a vegetarian calzone. Esteban ate a buffalo chicken calzone and we all shared an order of cheezy sticks. We usually feed Elena from our meals.

Elena ended her night with playdough. I love when we have conversations while she plays in the kitchen and I wash dishes. I love when she shows me her creations. A toddler’s creativity is so pure and innocent. It warms my heart!

I talked about getting a piece of dried, hard alfedo sauce stuck deep under my finger nail in my week in review blog post 2 days ago.
In result of that, I bought my first pair of gloves for washing dishes! I grew up with parents who never wore gloves to wash dishes, so I never did.

I’m never washing dishes without glove anymore! Luckily, my nail seems to be getting better. the alfredo sauce piece has shrunk in size now (2 days later), but it’s still there. The pain did increase yesterday but today it’s a lot better. My friend, a healthcare profession whom I work with, says it will come out on it’s own so I’m not concerned.
I hope you had a great weekend! I’m pretty much done with Christma shopping. I just need 2 more people and I need to warp all the gifts.
