Welcome to Blogmas day 22! In this blog post, I share Week In Review #5. Gift wrapping + gift exchanges at work + still sick.
Monday
I started work early (I usually start late at 10:30am most Mondays). Elena and I struggle in the mornings because we are night owls. Somehow, we survive.
I put on her jacket and boots while she sleeps and carry her to my mom’s house around the corner and she keeps sleeping or rests at my mom’s sofa.
My coworkers started giving out Christmas gifts on Monday. I saved them for Elena, so she could open them for me. She was so thrilled! Then, she expected me to bring her gifts every evening when I got home haha.
I didn’t realize one of the gifts had mini nail polishes. Elena loves doing her nails on her own so once she saw the nail polishes, she wanted to do her nails immediately.
Mondays are pizza night at our home. We love Gino’s Pizza. I buy it from Jewel Osco’s frozen section.

Tuesday
I ate all of these cookies plus the brownie that was in the jar. I love hand-made gifts.
For dinner, I got Red Robin’s on my way home from work. I had been craving the veggie burger for a while. It’ so good! I also get extra fries each time. Did you know Red Robins gives you unlimited fries with your meal?
Wednesday
The day flew buy because it was a very busy day at work.
RunDisney dates for 2020! I’m running the marathon in 2020 (that’s my goal).
I went shopping at Trader Joe’s after work and Elena discovered the whole puncher.
Thursday
I went to sleep at 2am and a “scam likely” call woke me up at 9:30am. Elena got up after 10am.
Here is a before and after of our living room.
My brought pancakes with frosting for Elena and then later on in the day took her to the mall while I wrapped presents. My priority was co-worker gifts because I wanted to pass them out on Friday.

Here is the wrapping paper I bought for this year. Esteban has so many siblings and cousins.

My favorite wrapping paper is the little red truck on the left. I bought it at Joann’s.
All these presents were for my co-workers. I felt like Santa while I walked into work on Friday.

Some gifts for my family.

I’ve been fighting a cold/cough for 3+ weeks now, so I figured I should get back to drinking green shakes. If you want my super simple 5 ingredient green shake recipe, click HERE.

Elena never liked her baby swing as a baby. She would cry most times when I put her on here. As a 2 year old (almost 3), she loves it! She watches TV while sitting on it and even falls asleep in it.

Friday
More gifts from co-workers and Santa came to visit!

Elena and I were home alone for the evening. Esteban went to visit his cousin at a hospital in downtown Chicago. He left while I was at work because of traffic.
I was so tired after a very long and busy week. I told Elena that I was tired and she thought I had a fever, so she went to the bathroom and got a wipe to put on my forehead. By the way, I never do this to her with a wipe. Her imagination is so cute.

Elena played on her own for a while and then we played together in her play room. She made me jump in each square tile in her play room.

How was your week before Christmas?
Are you done buying and wrapping presents?
