Last year in October 2017, I bought my domain name, set up a blog from nothing, and published my first ever blog post! I write this blog post to say THANK YOU for reading and following along for the past 12 months. Here, I share my top 5 most popular blog posts from my first year blogging, the ups and downs, what I’ve learned, and the meaning of my logo. I hope you continue to follow along for another year!
THANK YOU FOR ONE YEAR!
As a newbie, I was afraid that no one would read my blog. Every day, it surprises me that people visit my blog. Everyday I have page views and it absolutely makes my day! I sincerely THANK YOU so very much for your support and time. I appreciate you reading my blog and for also following along on Facebook and Instagram.

TOP 5 MOST POPULAR BLOG POSTS
I wrote a total of 38 blog posts in my first year! Here are the top 5 (most viewed in order).
- #1 most popular blog post
- #2 most popular blog post
- #4 most popular blog post
- #5 most popular blog post
I’ve had fun writing each and every blog post. These top 5 also happen to be the ones that I had the most fun writing! This gives me an idea of what you guys enjoying reading and gives me ideas for future blog posts!
I love writing and sharing about planners, budgets, Disney, planning, running, and organization. 🙂
At this time, I don’t plan to focus on one single topic and I will continue to write about what interests me and what may interest you as well! A good variety seems to be doing well for me. That may change in the future.
I almost gave up
Blogging is tough. It’s specially tough when stating from nothing. I had a small following on Instagram before I started blogging. My family and friends had no idea why I was doing this. The only two people who were there in the beginning to help me push through was my husband and my blog mentor.
In the beginning, I was fine. I was excited and motivated to finally have the blog I dream of for 4 years.
It was tough a few months in when I didn’t see my blog audience growing. It was tough when I didn’t receive feedback or comments from my audience.
I felt like giving up.
I had already invested too much time ,effort and money to not keep on trying. So, after several weeks of taking a break from blogging, I got back to it. I needed to give this “blogging” thing a real chance.
Here I am today. One year later. I’m still trying to keep up with posting somewhat regularly, but now I have a clear vision about what I want to do with my blog.
I want to share what interests me and create quality content that others can enjoy. I want to be consistent and blog regularly. Along the way, I want to build a positive and supportive community.
These goals may seem big for now, but I’m not going to stop. Blogging was a big dream of mine and I am now a blogger! Cheers to another year of blogging!
Good news
In the bright side, I’ve gotten to meet some amazing bloggers. I spend probably too much time reading blog posts now. I have so much respect for bloggers who blog several times a week (it’s tough work!) and for those who blog everyday!
My favorite blogger at this time is Hungry Runner Girl. She blogs everyday and I read her blog every single morning (I really do).
There’s a whole blogging community out there that I did not know excited and I’m glad to be part of it. I’ve learned lots from others 🙂
The meaning of my blog’s logo
I should probably start by explain why I chose Someday I’ll Be On Time for my blog’s name before I tell you about my logo.
I wanted a blog name that wasn’t specific to a certain topic and I wanted it to be fun. I originally had a blog name picked out (Life in Full Bloom), but that domain name was already taken.
Since I have a reputation of being late, I decided to call it Someday I’ll Be On Time and I love it! You can count on me on being on time, I promise! I’m rarely ever late now, but my friends and family have gotten used to me being late always that now they still think I will be late each time but I’m not. 😉
My blog’s logo is at the top of my home page. It’s a clock that tells the time of 3:13. My birthday is March 13 and that is why the clock in my logo tells the time of 3 (3rd month of the year) 13 (my birth day).
Now you know that the time on my logo was on purpose 😉
What’s next?
I’m not going anywhere. Be prepared to read several new blog posts! I’m going to Disney World Nov 1st-Nov 8th 2018 (in 5 days!!) and I’ll be blogging A LOT about that in the next few weeks. I will have blogs about running at Disney, packing for Disney, what we did at Disney, and so much more!
Be sure to follow along on Instagram and Facebook for lots of Disney content soon!
For December, I will possibly be blogging everyday from Dec 1st-Dec 25th! I think that would be so fun! If I don’t end up doing that, I will definitely have more blog posts in December than usual.
I’m so excited for the rest of 2018 and I’m also excited for the new year! Thank you again for your love and support <3
