It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Fall is my absolute favorite because of the falling leaves, the fall colors, the pumpkins, the weather, and Halloween. In this blog post, I share my daughter’s first ever capsule wardrobe for Fall 2018 and it’s only 17 items!
What is a capsule wardrobe?
A capsule wardrobe is a collection of items that can mix and match very well to make several different outfits. From what I’ve read online, people who do capsule wardrobes try to limit to 30 items or less.
I wanted to make a capsule wardrobe for my daughter because she has outgrown all of her size 2T clothes and I needed to buy her size 3T clothes BUT I didn’t want to buy random clothing pieces. I didn’t want to buy a large amount of clothing pieces since she will outgrow it in a few months, so I thought a few quality, versatile pieces would be the best choice.
Below are pictures of my daughter’s 17 item Fall capsule wardrobe.
Tops x 4
Dresses x 2
Bottoms x 5
Outerwear x 3
Accessories x 1
Shoes x 2
Tops
All the tops are from Target. Elena does have a few other T-shirts that still fit her, but those will only be for backup/ emergencies and for lounge wear. That is why they are not included below.
Dresses
Both dresses below are from Target. These are my favorite from all the items! Elena’s favorite is the one on the left.
Bottoms
All bottoms are from Target.
Outerwear
Green jacket and pink sweatshirt are from Target. Light pink jacket is from Ross.
Accessories
Scarf is from Target’s $3 section.
Shoes
Boots are from Target and Carter’s shoes are from DSW.
I hope this inspires you to either build a capsule wardrobe for yourself or your little one(s) OR give you inspiration for some fall outfits 🙂
